I had the pleasure of shooting portraits for a family and an absolutely adorable toddler this week. And what'd you know? The shoot fell perfectly in line with the theme for this week's photo: In the beginning.

Since the theme was up to interpretation, I figured I'd probably have to explain my concept. Basically, my shot is meant to capture those moments "in the beginning" of a child's life that will forever be etched into our memory. That special moment that's been forever immortalized and continues to warm our hearts every time we look back at such photos. Hence, I decided to add an "aged" look to the overall image... just like a printed image would probably look a decade or so from now.

Not much else to say, except that this shoot was an absolute fun experience. Special thank yous to the parents for their permission to use this great shot of their daughter for my Fifty-frames submission and weekly blog:)
