Photo Project: Week 12

This has been a rough week. Not only was I sick, but I've been so tired that I just didn't have the strength or time to devote to well conceptualized theme for this week's photo.  A while back, I came across an interesting family photo on FB. It was a simple, heart-warming photo of a couple and their cat... except that the only things heart-warming about the photo were the subjects' feet :) Here's what I'm talking about...

Being a huge animal lover, I thought that I'd try to recreate something similar. However, after trying to position Chester, my male cat, it became clear that my imitation of the image was not going to happen. And so... I compensated for the lack of cooperation from Chester by adding Nala, my female cat, to the shot. I then decided against adding myself or my bf to the photo, thereby allowing ample focus on the cats. The setup was simply my bf holding the cats upright so that their hind paws would be visible. I took several shots, and after minimal editing... here's what I decided on for Week 12, entitled: "Inner Beasts."

I figured that "Inner Beasts" was a worthy name by the very nature of what the photo portrays. That is, "a small carnivorous animal with soft fur, a short snout and retractable claws." Yes, one can say that cats are often misunderstood, but they'll forever be my little furry cababies :) ♥
