So apparently I got mixed up with this weeks photo concerning the theme from Fifty two frames. Luckily, the photo I took earlier this week still worked :) To make a long story short.... I thought the theme was "Smoke," but the theme was actually "Smell." Ah well, here's my photo for Week 26.

If you look closely, you can almost see some similarities between the contours of the figure on the lower part of the frame and the figure from The Scream. Kinda creepy, right? To achieve this effect, I lit a candle, incense, and then some matches to create as much smoke as possible because one burning object wasn't cutting it. After several lightings and blowing out of the wickers and matches, I got an array of smokey contours. Thereafter, I sifted through the takes and finally decided on this shot to be the subject for my post this week. I chose this take primarily because of the layout. That is, the almost human-like face with one hand on the mouth, with an arm outstretched that wonders off into a huge plume of smoke above the subject's head. Do you see it? Lol. Or maybe it's just me? Very minimal editing was done in Lightroom to boost the colors to make the edges of the smoke pop.

Not sure what's in store for next week's photo... Hopefully, it will be something Autumn-related :)
