My apologies for not posting last week. I was unwell and unable to conduct a photoshoot.

        Week 43 and the theme is "Almost 5 senses." As usual, the theme was compliments of Fifty-two Frames and up for interpretation. Hence, I figured I'd rename my submission to "Almost 5 senses," since I didn't capture all the senses. 

          Initially, I thought of doing one sense. However, I quickly dispensed with the idea as I didn't find it challenging. Thereafter, I did some research on how to capture all five senses in one take. With the exception of a few morphed images, I stumbled upon a collage that served as my inspiration. Since I didn't want to stitch multiple images together to showcase all five senses, I settled for capturing as many as I could. And so I wound up with an image that captured: sight, smell & touch. It's arguable whether the visible parts of my lips are suggestive of taste. 

        The initial shot was a larger image, but I cropped it to focus on half of my face. Thereafter, I ran the image through Lightroom to sharpen the area around my eye. Finally, I edited the image via Google+ Editor to darken the blacks. I then texturized, saturated and added "warmth" to the overall image. I saved the image at different stages of editing as I didn't quite know which one would be my final submission. Eventually I decided on the one with the sort of "dramatic" look because it stood out more than the others.

      Here are the photos in different stages of editing for comparison. The image to the left is the RAW image, the center shot is the image after the first round of editing, and the image on the right is the final result.
